The Embassy of Italy to the Holy See adheres to the project “Open for You” promoted by the Italian Touring Club, to allow the public to visit Palazzo Borromeo.

Since December 2017, Palazzo Borromeo opens its doors – every second Friday of the month (except on holidays), by appointment thanks to the “Open for you” initiative of the Italian Touring Club “.
The visit is free. The tour guided by Touring’s volunteers guides the visitor among some of the most representative rooms of Palazzo Borromeo and lasts approx. 60 minutes.
For security reasons:
– the maximum number of people per visit is 35.
– helmets, trolleys, backpacks or other large bags are not permitted
– Cameras or video recordings other than mobile phones are not permitted
– Drinks or food are not allowed inside the building
– the building was built in the 16th century, thus is not suitable for those who have limitation to walking.
