“Songs of Homeland and Choirs of Opera” – Concert by the Choir “Salvo D’Acquisto”. 5 October 2016

The Embassy of Italy to the Holy See hosted, on the 5th of October, a Concert by the polyphonic Choir “Salvo D’Acquisto”. The performance was centered on the most famous songs of the repertory of the military music tradition and Italian opera composer.

The Choir was officially recognized as “Choir Interforce of the Military Family” by the Permanent National Council of Arma Associations. It has the aim to perpetuate the qualities of devotion to the homeland, attachment to the Institutions, unselfishness and altruism of Salvo D’Acquisto, Carabiniere who sacrificed his own life at the age of 23.

The music Director was Antonio Vita, supported by Fabio Silvestro and the Italian Group of Brass instruments directed by Vincenzo Tiso.
